Gardens allow us to tune into the energy that unifies all things, connecting us with life and nature in our own sacred spaces.

In entering a garden and tuning into our senses, we connect with the vitality and energy of life. As we tend and nurture the garden, we find a peaceful renewal within ourselves.
BACK TO OUR ROOTS
The gardens I create help people to cultivate a connection with plants and the earth, a relationship we carry in ourselves and rediscover during quiet reflection.

Kerry Van Kooy,
Founder
Wildcare Garden Design works throughout the Okanagan Valley and is situated in the Summerland area. Kerry’s inspiration comes from the region’s unique semi-arid climate and habitat. Inspired by nature, she strives to create gardens that support the region’s delicate and diverse ecosystem.
Kerry’s connection to the land began on her family farm as a child; she deeply cares for the land and people. By thoughtfully observing nature, she aspires to create beautiful gardens that restore and build community.
Kerry studied in Victoria, British Columbia, at the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific, and at the University of Guelph, Ontario and Wildrose College of Herbal Medicine, Alberta. She has worked alongside many talented designers and horticulturists in Victoria and the Okanagan Valley. Kerry combines her love of the land with a deep responsibility to those whose gardens she designs.
